Mother, Daughter Collection Reveal Party

The Krista Schumacher Art Gallery will host its annual Mother-Daughter Collection Reveal Party on September 1, 2023 from 4-7 pm. The event will take place at the gallery located at 1113 Wall Street, La Jolla, California 92037.

Each year, palette knife artist, Krista Schumacher, collaborates with her mom and fellow artist, Kathy Schumacher, on an entirely new collection of original paintings. One of those paintings is created by both the artists and will be revealed during the event at 5pm.

The theme for this year’s collection is “Iconic San Diego” and will feature 19 never-before-seen paintings of iconic spots located in San Diego. In line with the theme, well-known San Diego restaurant, Queenstown, will be sponsoring the event and serving drinks.

“This year’s event is really special because it highlights the diverse beauty of San Diego,” Krista Schumacher, artist and owner of the Krista Schumacher Art Gallery said. “Even more special is sharing this moment with my mom. Our bond resonates through our collaborative piece and within our individual collections.”

Prompting further cause for celebration, the event also falls on the gallery’s 2nd anniversary. The gallery, located in the heart of La Jolla, features original oil paintings well known for their heavy texture, multi-dimensional form, and bold colors; with subject matters ranging from seascapes to abstracts.
