Art Reception and Demonstration

The La Jolla Art Association presents a new exhibition from August 6 – October 10. The media featured will include watercolor, photography, oils, digital art and acrylics. The Art Demonstration will feature Still Life using Oils by Sherry Roper.

This month La Jolla Art Association will feature artist Sherry Roper who will be demonstrating how to paint a still life in oil using the indirect method of painting. Sherry is an award-winning artist whose work is inspired by the classical realism style of art. Her artistic studies have been largely self-directed and her work spans 20 years. Today, she works primarily in oils, painting still life and landscapes with a passion for realism and attention to detail.
