This online iPhone Photography workshop will give you a good foundation to take better images with your iPhone. We will start the day learning how to set-up our iPhones for photography and then how to proficiently use the iPhone camera and all of its amazing features. During this time we will be covering composition skills. After several hours of going over settings and the mechanics of the iPhone camera we will have an at home “treasure hunt” to try out our new camera features. In the second part of the class we will dive deeper into the practice of editing the images and then a group sharing of our images and experiences. We will be using whole brain “mindfulness techniques” as a way of developing our vision for creating images that speak to us.
We are pleased to offer this class online using Zoom video conferencing. The hope is to mimic, as closely as possible, what normally happens in our classrooms at the Athenaeum. Of course it will not be exactly the same, but in this time when many of us are experiencing anxiety and isolation, our hope is to continue to provide enriching experiences of artistic growth and community building, just in a different format.
The technology to make this happen is actually surprisingly simple (imagine a group FaceTime or Skype meeting). You only need a computer (phone or tablet) with a camera, microphone, and internet connection and we are here to help you should you experience any technical difficulties.
