Deep Stretch & Sound Healing (Once-A-Month)

Join Jeny of Zen Soul Balance on the last Monday of each month at Buddhi Yoga for a full-body-deep stretch and Sound Healing and reset for the new month ahead!
This is a therapeutic stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings, lower and upper back that tend to be tight for everyone. Tight muscles can cause imbalance which often lead to aches and discomfort. This class will help you lengthen and stretch in a safe, effective way to improve flexibility, joint mobility and range of motion in your body.
Each stretch will focus on relaxing muscular engagement with 2-7 minutes holds generally in a seated or reclined position. Holding poses for longer periods of time and focusing on breath gives the body time to fully relax and open. By compressing and elongating during each stretch, a physiological response is activated that repairs, maintains, and increases tissue health.
Students will be guided safely with particular time and attention to functional alignment, allowing energy to flow within the body, and enabling students to enjoy the practice with fluidity and ease.
This is an accessible class that almost everyone needs – athletes, advanced practitioners, weekend warriors, first time yoga students and everyone in between. Focused stretching allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body.
Neither experience nor flexibility are required, just an open mind and a willingness to have fun while trying something new.
Complimentary sound healing will be provided for stress relief and relaxation.
