In honor of Veteran’s Day, the La Jolla Theatre Ensemble presents a staged reading of A World of Their Own by acclaimed playwright, Old Globe Associate Artist, and La Jollan, Stephen Metcalfe. The beautifully written, poignant play is about young Marines who are Veterans of tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The play takes place on the Torrey Pines Golf
Course right here at home and in flashbacks.

Don’t miss this moving and poetic original story by the writer of plays such as The Lightbulb, The Tragedy of The Commons, Loves & Hours, The Gift Teller, Emily, Vikings, and Strange Snow; the screenplays Half a Lifetime, Cousins, Jackknife, Roommates, and Beautiful Joe; and the production drafts of Pretty Woman, Arachnophobia, It Could Happen to You, and Mr. Holland’s Opus. Directed by John Tessmer and starring Leigh Ellen Aiken, Mark Anthony Flynn, Devin Wade, and L.A. actor Dave Florek.
