Join artist Andrew Alcasid for a coffee and sunrise viewing of his Athenaeum exhibition Turning Pages. In homage to the Athenaeum’s beginnings as the La Jolla Reading Room, Andrew Alcasid’s Turning Pages features a collection of figure drawings depicting his partner, Aubrey Mejia, reading at their home. Alcasid has utilized the Athenaeum’s architecture to transform the space. Hand-embellished prints and serigraphs are presented alongside colorful and large site-specific works throughout the library.
