The Great Americans at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center
August 9 @ 7:00 pm

Inon Barnatan, Richard O’Neill, Takács Quartet, Paul Wiancko
Our second Wednesday concert features the world-famous Takács String Quartet in their first SummerFest appearance. Dvořák’s beloved “American” string quartet, written when he was living in the U.S. and influenced by American idioms, is paired here with a romantic piano quintet written at the turn of last century by one of America’s most important composers, Amy Beach, and American composer Paul Wiancko’s charming and evocative exploration of his musical heritage.
After each Wednesday concert, ticketholders over 21 enjoy a complimentary glass of Champagne with us to celebrate our 37th SummerFest!
