Position Overview

This part-time position reports to the Technical Director.

The Tech Coordinators’ primary role is to provide customer service for all clientele who perform in the venue.

As well as, ensure the equipment in the theatre is functional, maintained, and safe.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as primary point of contact on the day of events in The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center

Write end-of-event reports.

Manage IA Staff brought in for each event.

Assist in maintaining and updating venue inventory.

Set furniture and staging all events on the premises.

Set and run smaller events such as lectures and presentations.

Maintain standard house plots for fixtures and equipment

Maintain safety protocols for staff and crew working on stage or around technical equipment.

Other duties as assigned


Skills and Qualifications:

At least 1 – 2 years of experience in technical management.

A related Bachelor’s degree or certification.

Equivalent experience will be considered.

Exhibit keen attention to detail and analytical skills.

Must demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills.

Working knowledge of technical theatrical systems – specifically lighting, sound, video, and rigging.

Familiar with ETC ION+ lighting control consoles and Yamaha (CL5 & CL3) digital sound mixers, Dante audio networking

CAD or Vectorworks Experience a plus

Ability to regularly perform moderate to strenuous lifting of 50+ lbs.

is required, occasionally working in a crouched/squatted position.

Must be comfortable working at heights >30 feet and loud environments (>85dB).

This position is expected to work 30 hours per week.
