Concetta Antico – The Salon of Art Gallery
Nestled in the heart of the famed and historic seaside village of La Jolla, in San Diego, you will find The Salon of Art Gallery, a Parisian inspired realm filled with magical colors and bewitching fine art.
The gallery and studio are the headquarters of acclaimed master artist Concetta K. Antico, known world wide as “The Color Queen”. Her moniker is the result of her scientifically endorsed gift of functioning Tetrachromacy, the genetic ability of expressing four color rods (or cones), as opposed to regular vision’s three. Ms. Antico is the subject of extensive and ongoing research by Dr. Kimberly Jameson, who has documented that Concetta’s super human gift is unlike any other she has studied.
A contemporary Impressionist painter, best known for her expressive brushwork and kaleidoscopic use of color, the alchemy inherent in Concetta’s nature inspired oil on canvas paintings can only be appreciated up close and in person. She continues to garner worldwide media attention, having been featured in documentaries, television, feature articles, (including the BBC, The Cut, The Guardian, WSJ, Vogue, CBS, ABC, and hundreds more). Over 1000 original works are held in public and private collections across the globe, and are coveted as highly collectable. Her” Super Vision” works have been described as “…windows into a world that those of us with regular vision could not perceive otherwise.”
