Enhance La Jolla is dedicated to the maintenance and physical improvement of the Village of La Jolla. Established as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, Enhance La Jolla (ELJ) is managed by Village property owners and other community stakeholders. The primary goal of the organization is to help ensure that the Village remains the jewel of San Diego and create inviting and appealing public spaces that will bring people together and improve the quality of life.

Voting is live right now on the ELJ website www.EnhanceLaJolla.org with “Vote in our 2023 Election” at the top of the page or by mail to Enhance La Jolla 1131 Wall St. La Jolla, CA 92037. Votes must be received by 12 noon Wednesday; October 18th and you must be a property owner or representative of the property owner (proxy) within the district. The district boundaries can be viewed HERE.

Candidates running reflect the property owners within the La Jolla Maintenance Assessment District and Members at Large who have the experience and expertise to manage the organization’s business. Candidates have met the following requirements: Representative of the La Jolla Community Foundation, Property Owner-Non-Profit, Community Member-at-Large, Property Owner-Residential. Board members are asked to attend 4 public board meetings annually, serve on committees, and comply with the California Brown Act in decision-making.

Our current Board President, Ed Witt notes, “This is a great way to have a say in maintaining the public spaces in the Village. We need diverse voices and skill sets on our board to ensure we are meeting the expectations of the property owners and the needs of our community.”

The election of candidates will be announced at the Enhance La Jolla Board meeting to be held Thursday, October 19th at 4 PM at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego located at 700 Prospect St. La Jolla, CA 92037.
