We Are Family: Art, Music & Community in the Village
With sunshine in the forecast and La Jolla’s signature coastal breeze in the air, there’s no better way to kick off May than at First Friday Art Walk. Join us on Friday, May 1 from 4 PM to 7 PM for an evening that celebrates connection, creativity, and community with this month’s theme: “We Are Family.”
Whether you’re coming with friends, loved ones, or meeting new faces along the way, Art Walk is all about bringing people together in the heart of the Village.
Here’s just a taste of what’s in store:
- Enjoy free admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego beginning at 3:00 PM and experience GIANTS: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys
- Attend an opening reception and artist talk at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library for Within the Context of Time, featuring artists May-ling Martinez and Coralys Carter
- Enjoy live music throughout the Village with the Seaside Serenaders and roaming saxophonist Kevin DelMasto
