Meeting Room Opens at 3:30
Details:
Protests, rallies, caravans, marches, and demonstrations over inequality and injustice have been part of American history for hundreds of years. However, recent events, sparked by the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed black man by Minneapolis police officers, have stirred up emotions in people of every color and background from shock and outrage to fear and confusion.
Panel Explores Personal Stories of Racism – Please come together via Zoom this Wednesday to learn about why the Black Lives Matter movement is prevalent today and what we can do as a community, from a panel led by LJVMA’s former intern and newly hired Diversity Consultant, Rehema Ally-Lifa (pictured above), special guest, Paris Eisenbeiss and others. You’ll hear brutally honest stories to offer perspectives about this complicated issue.
Following the Panel, we will hold an abbreviated version of our Monthly Board and Membership meeting allowing you to stay up to date on all the village news.
