I’ve come to rely on Isola for the perfect Happy Hour spot as has J McLaughlin’s Store Manager, Natalie Aguirre, pictured here with one of Isola’s friendly and efficient servers. Beginning at 3:00 they serve fantastic and inexpensive small plates and appetizers such as farinata (crispy garbanzo bean “french fries” truffle aioli) for only $3! For five bucks you can enjoy focaccina calda (freshly baked flatbread, rosemary, EVOO, sea salt), fried calamari, crispy fried calamari and gamberetti alla ‘nduia (wood-fired shrimp, spicy ‘nduja sausage, fresh herbs). There’s so much more on both the happy hour and regular menu. No matter what time of day you dine you will find authentic, delicious, moderately-priced food that will make you an instant Isola fan!
