We welcomed Spring with our inaugural Enhance La Jolla Day!

On March 20th, our community came together on Girard Avenue and took part in two different activities. The first activity was an information area with plenty of booths highlighting different La Jolla organizations and what they contribute. The public was able to talk and learn about these organizations and community groups. The second activity was a community improvement project. This involved LJ MAD’s landscaping vendor, Nissho of California. Our community placed rocks and groundcover in more than 20 tree wells along Girard Avenue and Wall Street.

The community organizations that participated in Enhance La Jolla day with us were: Enhance La Jolla/The La Jolla Maintenance Assessment District, The La Jolla Community Foundation, City of San Diego District 1, La Jolla Town Council, La Jolla Parks and Beaches, La Jolla Community Planning Association, La Jolla Shores Association, Urban Corps, The National League of Young Men, Nissho of Southern California and Rotary Club of La Jolla.
