Last week was Rubio’s and this week is Rigoberto’s — both Mexican, both fast but very different feel and flavors.  Rigoberto’s is a traditional “taco shop” serving up that giant carne asada, carnitas, and breakfast burritos for which San Diego is famous.  I’m a chicken burrito lover but like it super simple — just the way Rigoberto’s makes them — shredded chicken in a savory sauce with absolutely nothing else.  I don’t want anything interfering with the fresh tortilla taste combining with healthy chicken flavor.  They have a wonderful salsa bar including ample marinated carrots (num!)
