I know French fries are a common theme in my column but I just keep finding really incredible fries in this Village including the sweet and salties at one of La Jolla’s true breweries.  CAVU is a wonderful neighbor to have around.  They serve great food, have the most incredible speakeasy-style backroom for private events, have a fireside patio and really delicious bar food that is much more than just bar food.  We ordered the calamari which was so meaty and steaklike, we fought over the last bites.  Salads. sandwiches and, of course, the famous burgers and wings are the reason I go to CAVU regularly.  And, since I’m all over the alphabet this summer, I thought I’d sneak it into my culinary adventure.
