Anti-Gravity School: Journey To Handstand With Brandon Bergado & Annelie Gutgesell

Join Brandon and Annelie for this educational workshop that integrates full body work that is accessible for everyone. By using natural and scientific principles, like gravity, weight distribution, and mind-body connection, you will gain a new understanding of the potential for natural strength in your body.
This workshop will include preparation routines for hand balancing, the best progressive drills to help you master your handstand, and strength and mobility drills to help you condition your body for the handstand. By breaking down the fundamentals of the handstand and the progression to achieve one, you will leave this workshop with tools you can apply to reach a new level of strength, presence and awareness in your inversion practice.
*Start with a mobility flow to warm up essential body parts.
*Move into strength work (shoulder, wrists, core work) for enhanced stabilization and protection.
*Teach inversions from ground up (Headstand, pincha, handstand. Using the wall, kick up, press-up. Teach how to fall out safely.)
*Cool down exercises & breathwork
Brandon Bergado & Annelie Gutgesell
Brandon is a hockey player turned yogi whose teaching style is powerful, yet graceful. Energy, precision, and connection are some of the main elements woven throughout his Yoga classes. He relates Yoga to the practice of building a happy home within, and strives to create that experience for his students.
Annelie is a registered yoga teacher with over 7 years of experience, teaching various handstand and inversion workshops across Canada and internationally. As a former competitive hockey player, Annelie has always had a passion for movement. Annelie believes that with dedication, mindfulness, and consistency, anyone can deepen their inversion practice.
