Shapes to Forms
Diana was in fashion school surrounded by fellow students who wanted to be fashion designers. Diana quickly realized she had an advantage as a Wall Street trader with a finance and engineering background. This paired with her love for design gave her special insight into balancing creativity with practicality, or in other words, technical skills like math.
Diana witnessed her classmates struggling with the basics of fashion design and knew there had to be a better way to help them achieve their dreams. She wanted to show them that there’s a connection between math and fashion, and how important it is to understand both. So, she got certified as a sewing instructor and started teaching at local schools, helping students understand how the skills they were learning in class applied to the real world.
Years later, Diana is still doing what she loves, helping new students see the connection between math and fashion. She is proud of how she can make a difference in their lives and help them achieve their design goals. And it all started with that one moment in class, when she realized her unique perspective could change things for the better.
