7650 Girard Ave #400, La Jolla
Wow! Trilogy Sanctuary was a huge surprise to me but, obviously not to the readers of San Diego Magazine, Huffington Post, Ranch & Coast and countless other publication which have featured this rooftop cafe in best-of lists and articles about the award-winning organic and vegan cuisine. But, more than a very hip cafe with fantastic views of La Jolla’s village and cove — Trilogy Sanctuary is a yoga studio and event space. I had the most delicious cauliflower soup with buckwheat pita. The soup was creamy and filling and I am now a huge fan of buckwheat pita. Before today, not only had I never ventured into this treasure on Girard that lives up to its name, but I didn’t know there was such a thing as buckwheat pita.
Plus, I had the pleasure of dining with the charming Stephanie Coolidge, Hospital Administrator of La Jolla Veterinary Hospital who supports vegan restaurants whenever possible.
I hope I’ve inspired you to check out Trilogy Sanctuary — even if you are a true carnivore like me. If not for the food, how about a cleanse or some aerial yoga? If you want to join us on our hunt for new food finds, send an [email protected] and join us one of these 52 weeks!
