Torrey Pines Elementary School has developed a unique sponsorship program that allows local restaurants to make a significant impact while also benefiting their business—a true example of doing good while doing well.
Through this program, restaurant sponsors, depending on their sponsorship level, are invited to participate in school events like block parties, children’s and parents’ dance nights, movie nights, and more, where they can set up booths to sell their offerings. These events create an opportunity for restaurants to engage with the community in a friendly, local setting while contributing to the school’s fundraising efforts. Another benefit of sponsoring restaurants is hosting “School Nights Out,” where TPES families are encouraged to dine at their establishment. A portion of the proceeds from these nights goes back to the school, creating a mutually beneficial partnership supporting the school and the business.
Sponsors also have the opportunity to distribute coupons and special offers to students and families during school events or through the school’s – newsletter, which reaches approximately 500 families.
This regular exposure ensures that sponsoring businesses remain top-of-mind for local families while supporting the educational mission of TPES.
The sponsorship program reflects the value of the double bottom line—helping local businesses succeed while making a meaningful contribution to the school community
