Creating and presenting an Annual Report is a critical process for all organizations but especially important for non-profits and public agencies that are entrusted to serve their members with integrity, honesty, and transparency. The La Jolla Village Merchants Association Board of Directors is dedicated to delivering value to those businesses located in our community. Especially during these strange times, LJVMA has worked harder than ever to support its diverse businesses from restaurants and retailers to health care providers and salons.
This past year has been a time of collaboration and meetings of many minds as we’ve discussed community hot topics such as seals and sea lions, streetscapes, pedestrian plazas, parking, homelessness, staffing shortages, and, of course, COVID. Out of the pandemic we have seen changes in the way we shop, dine, meet and connect with family, friends, and colleagues.
Unfortunately, we are not out of the woods yet. While we ended our fiscal year with a wonderful and motivating Grand Reopening and Ribbon Cutting Event, we are moving cautiously into the future. We are walking the tightrope between safety and celebration and will continue to stay true to our mission: We bring business to La Jolla Village Merchants.
We hope you’ll agree that in spite of a pandemic and uncertainty, LVJMA got things done. We hope you’ll spend a little time reviewing our annual report to follow our progress over the past 12 months.
