Introducing Sip, Savor & Sea – Best of La Jolla Guided Food and Walking Tour
Sip, Savor and Sea – Best of La Jolla Tour is a fun way to explore the beautiful coastal neighborhood with an expert guide. On this walking tour, you’ll explore the La Jolla Village, and visit a few of the most notable restaurants in the area for food and drink samples. Learn about the history of the area, and how La Jolla has always been a magnet for artists, philanthropists, scientists, and out-of-the-box thinkers.
Our groups are small with 4-15 guests per group, and our groups will have a table to sit at each restaurant. While at the restaurant, you will be served a predetermined food and drink sample that represents the restaurant’s cuisine. Each tasting is about 3-4 bites per person and amounts to a full meal by the end of the tour. The 4th restaurant stop is a grab-and-go dessert stop.
During the tour portion of the experience, you’ll visit a local contemporary art gallery for a talk about some of the art and artists showcased. Learn about the different techniques used, and how artists create their masterpieces. We will also talk to you about some of the historic buildings, and share insightful and inspirational stories of the past.
The tour ends at the Cove, which is known for its abundant wildlife, majestic views, and seven caves. Meet the sea lions, and get an understanding of why the Cove is especially populated by so many sea birds, fish, sharks and sea lions.
The Sip, Savor and Sea – Best of La Jolla Tour works together with the La Jolla Village Merchants Association to benefit the local businesses in the Village. Together, we encourage guests to stay a while. Shop at the quaint specialty shops, marvel at one of the 30+ art galleries and take in the views and culture of the area. La Jolla offers guests so many options for exploration, whether you’re interested in live theater arts, contemporary arts, shopping, treats, and wellness.
