My Father Mat, Artist in the Pines

La Jolla Historical Society will be hosting a one-hour event led by Helen Kagan, daughter of “Mat” (Tsuyoshi Matsumoto) for an informal talk and exhibit tour in Wisteria Gallery as she shares her father’s fascinating life story and a deeper look at his artworks. Mat’s incredibly detailed and serene drawings of Torrey pines have long been an important part of the La Jolla art scene.
