About 4,000 runners from around the country are expected to participate in the La Jolla Half Marathon and La Jolla Shores 5 K to be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021.

On Friday, December 10 there will be an event expo at Ellen Browning Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove.  It will be an open air event with a number of canopies with La Jolla merchants and restaurants and race related vendors selling and giving away merchandise such as running shoes and gear, sunglasses, energy bars,   replenishment beverages, etc.  La Jolla merchants and restaurants are warmly invited to inform participants about what their establishments have to offer and to promote and present inducements to visit their facilities.  It is also a location where event participants can pick up their race bib, event t-shirts, and goodie bags.

The vendor booths will be manned by employees of the companies exhibiting.  The race bibs and t-shirts canopy will be manned by Kiwanis volunteers and by staff from USA Endurance Events, the Race Director for the event.  The event will provide the canopies, tables, and chairs.  Rent will be collected from the exhibitors with the amount to be determined.

The day of the race the same canopies will be used by the same vendors for after-race activities.
