As we move toward a post-COVID “normal” our goal is to introduce La Jollans and visitors to the incredible, resilient, and innovative businesses in our village – including yours. We are launching a brand new merchant spotlight program and want YOU to take part.
Here’s How it Works:
Each week LJVMA will use its many marketing channels to highlight a specific business. This is your chance to tell our audiences what makes you and your business special. There is no cost to be featured outside of in-kind donations which will be used to create a dedicated contest aimed at increasing both social media and foot traffic to your business and website. Reserve your spot in the LIMELIGHT by completing this form.
As a Limelight business you will get:
- A featured social media post on all current LJVMA platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
- A Blog Post on the lajollabythesea.com
- Content to share on your social media and website.
- Printed recognition in various media and in public relations materials
- An exclusive Limelight La Jolla Window Decal to proudly display at Point of Sale or in Your Window
- Priority listing for your business profile on our website.
- Awareness among fellow merchants and community leaders at various live meetings.
What we will need from you:
- In-kind donations to be used as prizes, incentives or promotional items
- One large prize to be used during your Limelight Week. Studies show that people are more apt to enter a contest when a prize is all-inclusive or substantial. We’ll happily work with you to make suggestions or find the right incentive.
- Some examples:
- Hotels – A one or two-night stay
- Restaurants – Brunch/lunch/dinner for two/four (It’s okay to put a cap on the gift. For example: Not to exceed $100, Advance Reservation Required)
- Gift card to shop in your store.
- Spas and salons treatments.
- Something “priceless” or experiential
- A chance to take a cooking class with your chef
- A private VIP shopping experience including a $250 gift card
- A complete makeover with a visiting makeup artist or celebrity stylist.
- Two to Three other gifts/donations/gift certificates/cards to be used at upcoming promotional events such as Enjoya La Jolla, Merchant Mixers, etc. Our hope is to avoid bugging you so much throughout the year.
- Optional but highly encouraged– Our team will work with you and your team to create a custom PR package for you. This might include an article, video, photos etc. We know you’re busy, so if this is not something you can work into your schedule, no worries. We’ll use the best media for YOUR business. We also suggest you share any existing photos and videos that can be added to your Limelight Posts.
