Rady Children’s is teaming up with La Jolla Village Merchants in a highly publicized cause-marketing promotion aimed at both raising funds for Rady’s patients and program while driving businesses to La Jolla businesses.  From April 29th- May 7th all La Jolla Village businesses are invited to take part in Rady’s May Means Business Campaign in which Rady’s donors, staff, families, fans, and friends are encouraged to shop at participating La Jolla businesses.  In exchange, businesses creatively develop strategies to raise funds that will positively impact young patients, families, and healthcare heroes.

The Rady’s team will help your businesses come up with the best way to get involved and shine.

Here are just a few ideas:

Donation at Checkout with Icon
Prompt customers to donate at check-out and hang an icon with their name on the wall. Asking your customers if they can donate $1, $5 or round up their change at check-out adds up to a big impact.

Portion-of-Sale Promotion
Commit to donating a certain percentage of sales for a day or the whole week and promote this to your customers.

Rady Children’s Day
Choose a day where 100% of sales are donated to Rady Children’s Hospital.

Signature Product Promotion
Feature a signature May Means Business product or service, where all or a portion of each purchase of that signature item is donated to Rady Children’s.

Matching Gifts
Encourage your customers to donate to Rady Children’s and incentivize them by matching donations up to a certain amount. A matching gift plus social media promotion is a sure way to success.

Host an Event
Host an event where the proceeds are donated to Rady Children’s. Take it a step further and find sponsors for your event to raise even more for the kids!
