With both COVID-19 modifications driving everything from business operations and budgets to staffing and promotions — the La Jolla Village Merchants Association made necessary modifications to its 2020- 2021 Strategic Plan. In addition, as a result of the Black Lives Matter movement, the Board was motivated to take a hard look at its commitment to diversity and inclusion. As a result, a task force developed a set of diversity initiatives, some of which have already been implemented. While LJVMA strives to be a proactive organization, it’s ability to react to change, often on a daily basis, has led to efficient and reliable communication between various government entities and its members.
